My December 100 (Late Start and All)

After having trouble with the monthly miles website (i’m dumb, not the site) and an incredibly emotional month I’ve decided to get back up and attempt to do 100 miles this month.  no more excuses.

today i did

2.5 miles on treadmill

6 miles on bike

total for today 8.5 miles

left for month 91.5 miles

I’ve had a left hip pain for over a week now which has slowed down my use of the treadmill but I cannot afford to let me slow this down this month.

as i taking a week off for the holidays wasn’t enough, i caught a stomach bug the moment i got home. today was my first day back to the gym and it was rough. 100 miles is looking more and more bleak, I’ll just have to make it to the gym every day for the rest of the year and see what i can do.

I’ve decided to start including weights as a more detailed log for myself.

Working on this and coming in late has really helped me figure out how I want to track my fitness goals for next month. Since I won’t be able to exercise much while I am at home, I’m not going to get too down on myself for not finishing but I am going to try my damndest!

Coffee is just so much more fulfilling.

just to clarify, i didn’t just start up an exercise routine and do 15 miles in 2 hours. I’ve had a pretty steady routine for about a year and am trying to get off of running for the sake of my knees but I can’t find anything that feels as good as running does.

I’ve been quantifying my workouts by calories and I think that miles may be better.  I will not beau myself up if I cannot make 100 by the end of the month because a. I started late and b. holiday travel.

I’m just joining to see where I’m at mile wise.
